The Lazarus Legacy: Larry Lazarus — photographs

The Lazarus Legacy: Larry Lazarus — photographs

On 23 May 2026, THE LAZARUS opened the first ever public exhibition of Larry Lazarus' own photography. Larry Lazarus spent his career as a Master Printer — giving other people's photographs their depth, presence and atmosphere. Alongside this, he photographed quietly and consistently for decades. He never held an exhibition of his own photography during his lifetime. Larry Lazarus died in February 2026. In a world of loud and fast images, Larry's work doesn't shout. It asks us to slow down, leave space and look differently. The exhibition runs from 9 to 13 June 2026.
Curated by Joya Erlebach, founder of THE LAZARUS and daughter of Larry Paul Lazarus.
